AlchemyLeads Launches Free AI Visibility Checker That Shows Brands Whether ChatGPT and Google AI Recommend Them

The tool scores a website’s AI readiness, checks which AI crawlers can reach it, and runs real buying questions through AI answer engines to show which competitors get named instead.

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — AlchemyLeads, an SEO and generative engine optimization (GEO) agency, today launched the AI Visibility Checker, a free tool that tells businesses whether AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews can find, read and recommend them.

More buyers now start their research by asking an AI assistant for a shortlist. A brand can rank well on Google and still be missing from those answers, and most companies have no simple way to find out. Even when AI does send buyers, that traffic often shows up as “direct” in analytics, which makes the gap even harder to see.

How it works

Users enter their website, company name and a short description of what they sell. They can also choose a target country and add their own prompts. The checker returns an AI readiness score and a crawler report right away. Entering an email address unlocks the full report, which includes:

  • An AI Visibility Score out of 100, built from five weighted components: ChatGPT visibility, Google AI Overviews visibility, AI accessibility, technical readiness and AI-cited authority.
  • A crawler access check covering a dozen AI and search bots, including GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and Google-Extended. It flags cases where a firewall or CDN blocks these bots even though robots.txt allows them.
  • A Lost-Deal Map that runs the category’s buying questions through live AI engines and lists the competitors each answer names instead.
  • An ordered fix list and a readiness breakdown of more than 20 checks, from structured data and llms.txt to FAQ coverage and social preview images.
  • A downloadable PDF of the full report.

“Every brand we talk to asks the same thing: does ChatGPT know who we are?” said Sean Chaudhary, founder and CEO of AlchemyLeads. “Answering that used to take a manual audit. The checker does it in a few minutes and lays out the gap plainly: the questions your buyers ask, what AI says back, and who gets recommended when you don’t. A clean technical score means very little if the answer engines still send your buyers to someone else.”

Each report ends with a prioritized list of fixes. Businesses that want help acting on them can book a 20-minute call with the AlchemyLeads team directly from the results page.

The AI Visibility Checker is free to use and requires no account.

Questions to Ask an AI Search Agency Before You Sign

You have two or three agency calls booked, and every agency on the list is using the same three words. GEO. AEO. Somewhere in the deck, LLM optimization. They all describe the same goal, which is getting your brand named when a buyer asks ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Google’s AI answers a question. But herein lies the problem: most agencies get bookings by relabeling

If an agent
